A Bright Future

Insurance experts Digney Grant office in Newry

The Digney Grant team has been working remotely through the pandemic and providing excellent levels of customer service to their clients for the past 18 months. The last year has also seen the challenges posed by Brexit which have caused particular difficulties for many customers with cross border insurance requirements. Whilst we have seen the back of motor insurance green cards, there are still many insurance regulatory and market capacity issues caused by Brexit. The Digney Grant team have the expertise to find solutions and have a particular advantage with having insurance broking operations in the Republic of Ireland owned by our parent company.

Digney Grant offices reopen to customers

Over the last couple of months it was clear that our clients wanted to see the office doors open and we were pleased to reopen officially on the 18th October. It is great to see our customers in our offices again and there is a real buzz about Newry now which is fantastic to be part of. The recent closures gave us an opportunity to undertake some renovations to the office and make it more customer friendly, with private meeting rooms available for client consultations. As with other businesses, we will of course restrict numbers coming in to the office at any one time and ensure Covid mitigations are place to protect our staff and clients. We`ve missed the face to face contact with our clients – we are a people business after all and this is who we are.

Long Term Commitment to Local Area

Our business has deep roots in the town and indeed the whole Mourne and Armagh area and we are delighted to announce a long term commitment to our presence here with a new 10 year lease signed on our current offices in Sugar Island, Newry. The success of our business has been based on our strong local presence and we intend to continue this into the next decade and further. Some of our competitors have closed or downsized their offices and we are doing the opposite as we grow our team here in Newry.

Boosting the DG Team

Our business continually looks to attract the best quality staff and develop talent to their full potential. We are fortunate to have the financial backing to hire new staff to help grow our business and recently have employed several new members to the DG operation. Christian Ryan and Shaun Quinn have joined the personal lines team and Carson Strain and Barry Mulrone are two new appointments to an already strong commercial insurance team. We continually provide training and development to all our staff to ensure best possible customer service is provided and offer a true career path to our people.

Greater Newry Business Awards

We were thrilled to be a sponsor at this fantastic event to showcase and acknowledge the best of local business. It was great to finally attend an `in person` event again, to bump in to customers and see the vast array of great local businesses that were on display on the night. The Chamber deserve a lot of credit in pulling the event together and we were proud to be associated with these awards.
We sponsored the #Best New Business Category, which was won by Raw Fusion, with the highly commended awards going to Colum Lynch Photography and Greenqube Ltd.

Acquisitions

As well as delivering organic growth in our business, we also have the financial backing to make a strategic acquisition. We are open to conversations with other insurance broking businesses about joining our group and we are keen to consider an acquisition if the right opportunity came up.

A Bright Future

We have come through a tough period but we feel the future is bright. With a growing team, a strong local presence and great customer base, Digney Grant are here to help the local community with all their insurance needs. Please contact our offices to arrange an appointment.
